We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic for our Kirksville, MO Terminal.
Job Type: Full-time Work Schedule: Monday through Friday Job Description Diagnose potential vehicle and equipment malfunctions Perform necessary repairs to vehicles and equipment Determine needed repairs and/or replacements of vehicles and equipment Execute preventative maintenance programs as well as safety inspections for vehicles and equipment Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary Maintain tools, equipment, and shop area Adhere to Ecco Ride standards, policies, and procedures Prepare documentation regarding information to comply with regulatory guidelines, vehicle and equipment systems/components repairs, etc. Inspect vehicles using standard guidelines and ensure conformance to Mississippi Highway Patrol standards and Mississippi Department of Educations standards Always a focus on safety Perform other responsibilities as requested or required Minimum Job Qualifications or you can title Educational/Experience Qualifications 2+ years of automotive or diesel repair experience required Appropriate mechanics toolset ASE Certification preferred Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Valid Drivers License; having a Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is preferred Basic computer skills Must be able to pass Pre-Job requirements including pre-employment drug screen and background check Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Needed The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools Good verbal and written communication skills The ability to work well as part of a team and independently Regular, predictable, total attendance is an essential function of the job Benefits Health Insurance Life Insurance/ADandD Insurance 401k with Matching Contributions PTO Voluntary Benefits Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Additional Life Insurance LTD STD Critical Illness Accident Insurance Hospital Indemnity Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $30,000.00 per year Benefits: - 401(k) - 401(k) matching - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Life insurance - Paid time off - Vision insurance Experience level: - 2 years Schedule: - Monday to Friday Experience: - diesel mechanic: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: - ASE Certification (Preferred) - Diesel Mechanic Certification (Preferred) - Class B CDL (Preferred) Work Location: In person
