Key Responsibilities: + Manage transit vehicle maintenance in compliance with company standards and policies + Manage the shift technicians, assign work and parts distribution, + Document all aspects of work orders to the assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment.
+ Ensure accurate upgrades and/or modifications to coach systems, road calls, and on-the-road repairs, as needed.
+ Coach and monitor members of the work team.
+ Other duties as required.
Requirements: + A high school diploma, GED or equivalent + Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a shop and team + Commercial Driving License (CDL) with passenger and airbrake endorsements + ASE Certification preferred + Ability to work with operations for successful vehicle pull outs, interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams.
+ Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Physical Requirements: + The essential functions of this position require the ability to: + Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs.
