Secondary duties may also include snow removal operations and maintenance of water well and pump house access points.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
Please click [here](https://www.jacksonwy.gov/DocumentCenter/View/8883/WaterUtilityOperator240703) for a complete job description for Water Utility Operator.   Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: High School graduation or equivalent, a Wyoming Class B Commercial Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 30 days), 2+ yrs experience in a maintenance position utilizing heavy equipment or excavation equipment, and a Level II DEQ Water Distribution License (or ability to obtain within 18 months).
Ideal candidate will be serious about a long-term public service career, willing to learn and improve their skills, and will care about the quality of our water and ecosystem.  A $7500 signing/longevity bonus is provided over 3 years.
If hired at the Street Operator level, Operators are eligible to advance in position and compensation from Street Operator to Equipment Operator with an additional 4.5% increase in addition to annual wage increases.    This position has full benefits offered by the Town of Jackson currently including health, vision and dental insurance, Wyoming Retirement System (WRS) retirement benefits and Paid Time Off (PTO), which covers vacation, sick and holidays.
Up to $1000 match towards Wyoming Deferred Compensation provided.    Below market rental housing options available!     The Town provides a $7500 signing/stay bonus.
    This position is included in the federally mandated DOT-FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program which includes pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident and random drug testing.
