Responsibilities - A Day in the life
+ Operate company-owned tractor-trailer or straight trucks to transport freight between designated locations. + Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. + Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely delivery. + Maintain a safe driving record and comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies + Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport. + Manage electronic logging devices (ELDs) to accurately record driving hours and activities. + Communicate effectively with dispatchers, service center personnel, and customers. + Provide courteous and professional interaction with customers, ensuring a positive representation of ACT. + Proactively support operations by assisting supervisors with key tasks and initiatives.
