Qualifications:
- Must have a valid CDL A
- Must possess a NYS Crane Operators License with the ability to obtain licenses in other states as deemed necessary
- A minimum of 3.5 years of experience driving and operating heavy equipment similar to equipment used by National Grid Transmission Line Services (i.e.
mobile cranes, track-laying tractors and associated equipment) is required. - Ability to obtain Hazardous Material and a Class M endorsement.
- Ability to obtain a Certified Escort License for oversized loads.
- Ability to drive all types of vehicles and equipment in adverse conditions, in a safe manner.
- Ability and willingness to work different schedules, on holidays and weekends and overtime as required.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment validated company test(s)
Salary:
- $52.26/Hr
Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation (DOT) covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA).
As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
Many of the terms and conditions of employment for this position are defined by a collective bargaining agreement that the Company has with a local union.
Newly hired employees are bound by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement as well as other agreements between the Company and the local union.
