Key Responsibilities:
- Install and bury coaxial and fiber optic service drops at residential and commercial locations. - Operate trenching, boring, or plowing equipment to place cable underground safely. - Hand-dig when required to avoid utilities and minimize property disruption. - Identify and locate existing utilities before excavation to ensure safe operations. - Test and verify connectivity and signal strength after installation. - Restore work sites to original condition (backfilling, reseeding, laying sod, repairing landscaping, etc.). - Communicate with customers, contractors, and supervisors regarding work performed. - Document all completed work with required paperwork, maps, or digital reporting tools. - Adhere to all safety procedures, including use of PPE and compliance with OSHA/DOT regulations. - Perform troubleshooting and repairs on existing buried lines as needed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. - Prior experience in drop bury, construction, or utility installation preferred (willing to train motivated candidates). - Ability to operate trenchers, plows, boring machines, and other construction tools. - Understanding of underground utility locating and call before you dig processes. - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments. - Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. - Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (CDL is a plus). ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with coaxial and/or fiber optic installation. - Knowledge of local utility codes and right-of-way regulations. - Strong communication skills and customer service mindset. - Ability to work independently and as part of a crew. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Work Environment:
- Field-based role with daily outdoor work. - May require evening or weekend hours depending on workload. - Travel to multiple work sites within service territory.
