We look forward to hearing from you!Job Summary:The truck operator will be responsible for the operation of rear load and sidearm refuse collection trucks.Duties/ Responsibilities:Performs vehicle safety and operation in pre-checks of route.Drives on assigned route.Ensures that all totes are serviced and empty.Collects refuse materials using automated or manual methods, dismounting and remounting trucks as needed.Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues.Operates machinery to hoist or compress refuse.Cleans and post-check inspection of vehicles at the end of the day.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Ability to understand and follow directions.Ability to adhere to safety standards and guidelines.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Valid Class A or B Driver’s LicenseCommercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)Additional Requirements:Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen, and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and throwing.Must be able to lift up to 51 pounds at times.Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.Exposure to strong odors.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40+ per weekBenefits:401(k) with company matchAD&D insuranceDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offPaid holidaysSafety equipment providedOther perksSchedule:8+ hour shiftHome dailyHome weekendsMonday to FridayYear round workExperience:Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Air Brake EndorsementCDL A or B (Required)L&L Site Services, Inc.
