Key Responsibilities
:-
Waste CollectionandTransportation
:- Operate trash trucks to collect garbage,recycling, and yard waste on assigned routes.- Ensure the safe and efficient loading of waste materials using appropriate techniques and equipment.- Transport collected waste to designated disposal facilities.-
Vehicle Operation and Maintenance
:- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in good working condition.- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the fleet maintenance team promptly.- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards.-
Safety and Compliance
:- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating the vehicle and handling waste materials.- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related towaste managementandtransportation.- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and provided.-
Customer Service
:- Interact courteously with customers and the public, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.- Ensurewaste collectionservices meet customer expectations and resolve issues promptly.-
Record Keeping
:- Maintain accurate records of daily routes, waste collected, and any incidents or issues encountered.- Complete and submit requireddocumentationin a timely manner.-
Qualifications:
Qualifications
:- Validcommercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.- Two years ofcommercial drivingexperiencepreferred.- Strong knowledge of local streets and routes.- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and loading heavy items 50 lb +, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb into the truck multiple times a day.- Comfortable working in various weather conditions- Good communication and interpersonal skills.- Steady working history.- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
