Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, no weekends, no nights! Specific Duties and Responsibilities - Assist with building of material packages per ticket for delivery. - Load materials onto truck and secure for safe delivery - Review load ticket and materials for accuracy including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage, and locations of deliveries. - Maintain hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures. - Deliver orders to customer's satisfaction and works as a liaison between company and site customer, handling any concerns or issues. - Assist customers with unloading materials safely and accurately.
Take all precautions to protect the product and the customer's property. - Operate trucks within all DOT Guidelines and submit pre-trip inspection forms. - Assist to maintain appearance of yard and warehouse. - Accurately complete merchandise returns and the required paperwork. - Unload and stock lumber from vendors. - Operate a Forklift of non-motorized material handling equipment. - Participate in inventory counts. - Assist customers in the yard with loading materials. - Vehicle Maintenance: - Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles. - Perform routine safety checks to ensure vehicles comply with company guidelines. - Other duties as assigned. - When not on a Delivery: - Assist with loading Building Materials - Loading customers is the priority when assisting. - Assist with the organization and completion of daily deliveries efficiently and on time. - Assist Loading material on delivery trucks in a timely manner. - Maintain appearance and organization of the yard, maximizing functionality. - Straighten and clean daily - Refer to Daily Task List and Complete - Use diligence to manage time effectively, demonstrate teamwork by assisting and cooperating with co-workers as needed. - Treat Associates, customers, and vendors better than they expect. - Understand the Customers, and fulfill Customer's needs completely, Add Value by adding on.
