Open-carrier transportation is the most common method of having your vehicle shipped. There are many benefits with this service, including fastest delivery times and the best pricing available. If you select to use this option, your vehicle will be shipped in a 10 car open-carrier by one of our licensed and insured drivers. Enclosed carrier transport would be the “First-Class” transportation equivalent in the auto transport industry. As such, this method is more costly then shipping via a traditional open-carrier; however, there are benefits to this service if you are shipping a classic car or an exotic vehicle. With an enclosed carrier, when a vehicle is shipped it is literally enclosed, and protected from the elements. With First Rate Auto Transport, we take care of all the details for you and can tailor a custom transport solution that meets your exact needs. This means that you have a choice on how you would like for us to handle the logistics of your vehicle transport. If you’re shipping your vehicle to Alaska, we will transport your vehicle to Tacoma, Washington where it will then be loaded onto a commercial cargo ship and sent to Anchorage, AK. Once it arrives in Anchorage, you can pick-up the vehicle yourself, or we can arrange to have it sent with one of our carriers to your final destination of choice. If you’re shipping from Alaska to the mainland US, you can elect to drop your vehicle off at the port in Anchorage, AK, or we can transport it for you. Once it arrives in Tacoma, we will promptly pick it up and deliver it the rest of the way; promptly and safely.
