Position Description

Main Purpose:
Penhall Company has an immediate opening for a full time Mechanic to join our team.
Great work environment!! We are looking for a Mechanic to perform light to medium mechanical work, PM'S servicing & maintaining a fleet of 2019 & newer Ford F series construction vehicles.
Key Relationships:
Foreman, Superintendent, Drivers, Operators, other skilled laborers
Specific Role Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe working environment while providing quality work standards & equipment readiness. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform light to medium duty repairs on a fleet of newer Ford F550 Diesel Service trucks. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair, a fleet of Gas, Diesel & electric concrete cutting saws and core drilling equipment. Repair and fabrication of equipment, performing basic MIG welding and silver solder brazing techniques. Interact with field operators as a technical expert and adviser with equipment & how to tag it out of service due to Safety & mechanical issues. Perform additional assignments as requested by your foreman/supervisor Also required, is servicing & maintaining newer Peterbilt Truck, Equipment Trailers and some specialty equipment.

Position Requirements
- Must be safety oriented in all aspects while repairs are in process. Wear proper PPE while performing repairs.
Gloves, Safety Glasses, ear plugs (when Noisy) dust mask, etc. - Experience performing PM'S on a fleet of newer Ford F-550 trucks, troubleshooting and light to medium repairs - Experience repairing and maintaining various construction/concrete cutting and core drilling equipment. - Experience with PM & repairing/maintaining several construction trailers. - Experience working with diesel engines, small engines.
Electrical and hydraulic trouble shooting & repair. - Experienced in basic to advanced Mig Welding techniques is a must. - Must possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment. - May work in inclement weather in and around repair facility. - Strong sense of urgency to perform tasks with a focus on safety. - Physical exertion required.
Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 90 pounds. - Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. - Basic to intermediate math skills. - Class A CDL license is a plus. - Must be able to pass a DOT Physical to obtain a medical card & required in house safe driver coarse required to drive Penhall Company trucks.
