he Operator complies with all traffic laws to ensure a safe and smooth ride, parks the vehicle safely, and assists passengers with boarding, unloading, and handling baggage.
The Operator performs daily vehicle inspections, checking gas, oil, water levels, and tire pressure, and ensures the vehicle is clean and in operable condition.
Responsibilities include using GPS navigation, tracking trip start and stop times, removing trash, and reporting any lost items to a supervisor.
The Operator brings the vehicle in for routine monthly maintenance and attends team meetings as scheduled.
This role does not require overnight travel; the Operator returns to their housing at the end of each workday.
Special requirements include: Must have a high school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent and at least 1 year of related experience.Must also have a CDL Class A or B with valid Passenger Endorsement or foreign equivalent.
Must meet DOT physical qualifications.
Must not have failed any DOT certified random drug tests in the past 3 years.
Must observe all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations and local traffic laws.
Must pass a pre- employment drug test and background check per DOL requirements for CDL Operator.
Drug test and background checks are paid for by employer. Workers will be paid no less than $23.23 per hour, based on experience.
Overtime is not available.
Standard work week is 40 hours per week.
Schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday.
Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position.
The requested temporary workers will perform services at 4501 Airline Dr., Houston, Texas 77022 including the counties of Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, Waller (BLS area: Houston-The Woodlands- Sugar Land, TX). The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
Workers will be paid bi-weekly.
Employer will make all deductions from workers paycheck required by law.
Housing is not provided by the employer.
Daily transportation to the job site is not provided by the employer.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the workers are dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs for return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the workers originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another.
The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved.
Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Reimbursement in the first week of work for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker).
The employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training on the proper use of tools and equipment.
