Nice looking Peterbilt 385 10 wheeler dumptruck. Newer Western Rock Box, air lift gate, 640k on truck. CAT C12 engine, low air leaf suspension, Eaton Fuller Super 10, 10 speed transimission.
The truck was a fleet 5th wheeler in the begining of it's life and I assume that they were on top of the maintenance. I bought it from a guy in San Jose that builds trucks and provides trucking services, and my impression is that he was very good with the maintenance as well
I change the oil and filter every 5000 miles.
I change the filters every 10,000 miles.
It has a new radiator with about 10,000 miles on it.
It has a new clutch with about 15,000 miles on it, new synthetic tranny fluid at that time.
New steering box 5-10k miles ago.
The computer was replaced shortly before I bought it.
As far as I know the wet kit/PTO are practically new, as they were put on when the truck was built into a dumptruck about 4-5years ago. It has a nice Western Rock Box with air lift gate, worth about $20K new.
The truck currently needs 4 new tires on the 1st drive axle. The other 6 have about 5000 miles on them i.e. new.
The interior is in great condition.
The truck is in good condition overall, and has only has typical scratches and dents from normal use, and currently has only a couple of minor items in need of attention. Very small oil leak, o-ring seal on an oil line, differential lock switch bleeds air when activated but is totally functional, stereo works but could use replacing.
I own the truck outright, so there are no complications with a financial company.
